ROLLERCOASTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5/30/2001

WORD OF THE DAY: borne

Oooohh, yesterday was funfunfun!!!!! We went on our band trip to Canada's Wonderland, one of the best theme parks ever!! It was only my second time going in my entire life. We went on tons of rides and lotsa other stuff. It was great. I got this huge blink-182- poster and I put it up under my sister's bed. That means it's right over me ('cause she's got a loft bed, and my bed is partially under hers to save space in our tiny room) and Mark Hoppus is the first thing I see in the morning. :-D And I got a keychain that says "In some cultures, what I do is considered normal."

I felt like crap this morning and I still kinda do. I wanted to go home but Mom was at this meeting all day and I didn't know the phone number. :*-(

There was a general council meeting today at lunch and I went. Student council, Yeah! Some people want a cappucino machine in the caf. I think that's ridiculous. There are two coffee shops down the highway. Get coffee there.

I have tennis tonight. Yay!

The Best Thing That's Ever Happened To Me 5/27/2001

WORD OF THE DAY: see the previous entry.

Man, I'm such a sentimental sap. That's why I was crying earlier.

At two I went to Pathfinders for the last time. This was the last Sunday afternoon I'd ever spend with my unit, and I was a guest of honour. I got my Canada Cord today, the highest honour in Guiding. I'm finished Pathfinders forever. There were eight of us who were leaving. We got the actual cord, a pin, some flowers, and a bracelet. The bracelet is great. The chain is done in a reef knot, the same knot we use to tie our scarves, and there's a little charm with a trefoil on it. Now I have two bracelets I'm going to wear every day.

So I was crying. I was the only one out of eight. The whole time the others were getting their Cords I was trying not to cry and when my leader got to me, I started. I've been in Guiding for eight years: two in Brownies, three in Guides, and now three in Pathfinders. That's more than half my life in this organization. I'm so glad I stayed.

The best part is camp. I love going to Camp Adelaide and our unit camps, and the trips we go on are awesome too. We went to Washington D.C. in October, which was an okay trip despite some of the setbacks (like a real bitch of a leader from another unit). I have had so many good memories there, and a lot of the photo trips on my web site are from Pathfinder meetings.

I swear, Guiding is the best thing that's ever happened to me. If anyone out there reading this is in Girl Guides or Girl Scouts and is thinking of quitting, don't, because you can never replace the memories you get or the friends you make. There are so many opportunities for travel and so many skills you can learn that you can't get anywhere else, and to top that off, it looks great on a resume. :-) For those of you that live in Ontario, you get chances to finish up those forty hours of community service you need to graduate from high school. I'm going to go on to the Senior Branches, then I can be a Junior Leader at camp for a few days. I think that would (or should) count towards that. Then I can get almost quadruple the hours I need in one week, hehe!

But seriously, if it weren't for Guiding, I probably wouldn't be who I am today. I wouldn't have been dunked yesterday, or have this sunburn. I wouldn't have met so many people, learned to canoe, gone to D.C., or webbed a campsite. I never would have participated in traditions that are hilariously stupid, learned basetag, learned campfire songs, danced to the Spice Girls all night at camp and crack a picnic table bench in the process, stayed out till three webbing people, seen BSB impersonators (twice), or created rivalry between two campsites. I would never have had a stupid uniform to complain about, gotten more friendship bracelets and pins than I can count, cooked over an open campfire and discover that my friend's supposedly full meal has been reduced to Barbie size, complained about camp hats or learned how to make cherry slop. There are so many things I wouldn't have done or seen or gotten or met that I can't even remember them all, but I know that sometime I will remember them and know that they were the best eight years I could ever have known.

I should go before I start to cry again... damn, too late.

Kumquat Smoothies all,

Ouch. Sunburns Hurt 5/27/2001

WORD OF THE DAY: bowdlerize. I actually remembered the word for once!

Ech, I have cat hair all over me... silly cat decided to be a suck-up this morning.

Yesterday was the WAGGGS World Fair. It was so much fun! We went to this place called Pleasure Valley. The fun started almost right after we got on the bus.

Kim, Jamie, Elise and I snagged the very back seats of the bus for the trip. With our bags stowed in the aisle and under the seats, we talked way too much and then the inevitable bus songs began. We sang a few... like...

Break it down!
Stomp your feet *stomp stomp*
Clap your hands *clap clap*
Shake your butt *shake shake*
Do a little dance *do a dance*
Get down tonight *get down*

And...

There were 10 in the bed and the little one said "Roll over! Roll over!" So they all rolled over and one fell out
Give a little scream, give a little shout
Please remember to tie a knot in your pyjamas
Single beds are only made for 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9...

And 99 Bottles of Beer On the Wall. In fact, we timed ourselves to see how long we could sing 99 bottles of beer before someone told us to shut up. But we were so close (around 30) that we just got quieter, then we were yelling the last 5. We sang the enitre 99 Bottles Of Beer in 12 minutes. Sweet.

When we got off the bus at Pleasure Valley, we dumped our stuff at our group's tent, organized everything, and headed straight for the huge waterslide! It was sweet beyond comprehension. The first time I went down it was awesome, then the second time I closed my eyes and it was even more awesome. I got water up my nose.

We pretty much just wandered around all day and looked at stuff. They had a few musical acts, mostly for the little kids. This one act, going by the name of "The Big Show" was particularly disturbing in one song. Jamie and I were scarred for life when the singer proclaimed "Shake your belly fat" while onstage with a polar bear. The other act was a tribute to the Backstreet Boys.

I... am not a huge fan of the Backstreet Boys any longer. But the concert was still fun, even though they were impersonators. We kept yelling at AJ that he was hot and stuff and eventually he looked and pointed at us. Jamie almost passed out. He seemed to keep looking at us every now and then during the concert.

After the first half was over, Jamie and I made our way to the dunk tank. Yes, the dunk tank. I was dunked. Three times. Elise cheated. She came up and hit the button when I wasn't looking. No fair. I did that to Jamie though, it's fun. When the person running the place said we could go, we dashed off because the second half of the concert was starting and Jamie was going into AJ withdrawl. We made it though, and had a whole lotta fun, again. I brought the digital camera and wasted almost all my pictures on the fake band that I'm not even a huge fan of. How dumb is that?

We waited what seemed like forever for the bus to take us home, then we snagged the back seats again. While waiting, we noticed a pretty hot guy who worked at Pleasure Valley. A general dare was proclaimed, to yell out the bus window that he was hot. Kim accepted. She climbed over Jamie, Elise and I to get to the right side of the bus, stuck her head out the window and screamed, "YOU'RE HOT!!!" as we passed him. The look on the guy's face was priceless! He was just like, "WTF was that?" and the girl standing near him was laughing her head off, as were we.

On the way back we just talked and talked and talked and talked. Kim told me who she liked. She might draw pictures of the characters for my book. That'd be sweet. Jamie kept going into AJ withdrawl. You ask her, "How do you spell 'hot'?" and she goes, "AJ...." It's rather funny.

That's about all for now.

A Very Good Friday 5/25/2001

WORD OF THE DAY: oh dammit. I forgot the word again...

Today was a very good Friday.

This morning I saw the new blink-182- video for "The Rock Show" and taped it. Mark in his sexy glasses... ahhh...

The bus was eerily quiet this morning... I was almost scared.

In English we watched some stupid movie, but it took up most of the period which was good.

Geography was interrupted by the Student Council elections. We had to go down to the gym to hear all the speeches and stuff. When Éadaoin and Heather went up to make theirs, I started yelling really loud and people were staring, but I didn't care. Other people yelled for their friends, why can't I? Afterwards I asked them if I embarrassed them and they were like, "That was you??????" Obviously they weren't embarrassed... damn. And damn the voters who didn't elect them. Sheesh. Only one person I voted for actually won, and that was Brydon. He's our new Student Council Prime Minister. Yay! But you gotta commend Heather and Éadaoin for running. We're only in grade nine!

Lunch was fun. I bought Pizza instead of fries. It was good.

The afternoon was pretty sweet too, considering that it was another Authentic Assessment and that meant we didn't have gym! We raced our CO2 cars in tech. Mine, the Juggernaut, went 44 km/h! That's in the top ten! Sweet! Kyle made a bus. It went 19 km/h. 19!!!! Heheh!

Then, before we could leave, our teacher decided to be a dummy and demand one minute of complete silence. If we did it, we'd get out five minutes early.

We couldn't do it.

Actually, the class was pretty quiet... except Derrick. He kept making faces and stuff, then someone laughed and we started again. Then he was laughing at himself, and we started again. This time, he had taken in this huge breath just before the teacher said "Now" and tried to hold it... but no. He lets out this huge snort and bursts out laughing on the floor. Our teacher was just like, "You're hopeless, get outta here."

And the idiot on the bus finally got told. Everyone laughed at him.

My sister's back from Ottawa. She bought me these sweet feather earrings from the museum of civilization.

That's about it for now,

Kumquat Smoothies all,

Jenna D.

Elections? Waste of Time, unless I'm running..... 5/24/2001

WORD OF THE DAY: oh crap. I forgot again... ex-something...

Ah, tennis last night was funfun. Colin wasn't there. Amanda asked, "Where's Colin?" and Laura was like, "I dunno, dead-er, ah, cheerleading camp?" I laughed my head off. We worked on serves and backhands. Laura hit Coach Grant three times. We're still bugging her about it.

Tomorrow the candidates for Student Council make their speeches that are supposed to convince us to vote for them, even though we're all ready going to vote for our friends or the people we know anyway. 'Sides, if I didn't know Éadaoin or Heather I'd probably still vote for them 'cause I know they can come up with good ideas, blah blah, yada yada. So I've got my votes for Communications and Deputy Prime Minister. I think I know who I'm going to vote for for Prime Minister, but I don't know who's running for Secretary, Treasurer, or Fundraising. I'll learn that tomorrow and go from there. I'm not running for anything myself, 'cause I'm really not sure of what I'd like to run for anyway. Next year I'm definitely going for something. Secretary or something. Grade representative. Not fundraising. I hate doing that stuff. I'll decide that next May.

We started an independent novel study in English. SWEET! Yeahyeah. Novel Study. They usually suck. But you see, this is independent. Which means I do it on my own. And there's only six questions! Six! I am so going to get a good mark on it.

That's about all for now.

Kumquat Smoothies all,

Jenna D.

Oh Dolt This... 5/23/2001

WORD OF THE DAY: myopic

Today I get to go to tennis lessons... finally! I missed the first one 'cause of the Artsarama concert, but now I get to go! Sweet! Tonight at six... :-)

Today was the Authentic Assessment for Geography. We had to do our stupid presentations... I spent almost all last night colouring in the water on my map... and that's a lot... my province was Newfoundland, an island for those of you don't know. Lots... of... water... damn.

Anyway, here's a picture of Heather and Anita doing their presentation on Nova Scotia...

*insert picture here*

And me...

*insert picture here*

So yeah.

The student council elections are coming up. Éadaoin is running for Communications (the announcements) and Heather for Deputy Prime Minister. I'm making some posters for Éadaoin.

That's about all for today...

Jenna D.

I Cried Yesterday 5/21/2001

WORD OF THE DAY: Promethean

Damn the authors. Damn them all. They made me cry.

No, don't get rid of them. I like writers. Honestly. I am one, don't forget. But two authors made me cry yesterday with their wonderful stories. (Note: The links on the authors' names lead to their fanfiction.net member page.)

First off, I got the author a alert for Hikari Takaishi's story You Promised and went to read that yesterday morning. I started crying almost the second it started to get sad and didn't stop until after it was over. I sat there at my computer for five minutes sobbing before I could even think about writing a review, then my typing was blurred by my tears, and I cried for at least ten minutes afterwards. It was horribly sad but really well-written and everything... You never think you're ever going to cry at a friendship fic. I know I didn't. But it was beautiful, let me tell you that. I don't care if you don't like Digimon, I recommend you read this story and then tell me if you cried. And please. Leave Hikari a review. She's a great writer. This story was her 90th post.

Later, I was reading the "How To Fly" series by The Artisan of the Written Word. It's really good, lotsa Taiora and Takari. The last part was up, and it was called Can You Hear Me? And, oh dammit, I started crying again. I'll tell you right now, Sora died, and you'll never believe who was responsible for her death. It's really long, and I cried for more than half of it. Little Cody made me cry... well, he wasn't really little in this story, he was sixteen, but he's still the baby of the DigiDestined and I'll always think of him as little. Not even the epilogue can change my perception of him as the little guy with a kendo stick.

I was talking to Casey while reading Can You Hear Me? and told him about the crying thing. Being a guy, he was just like, "Um... yeah..." But I told him to read the stories and see if he cries. He almost cried listening to Aeris's Theme, so he might at these stories... If he did, I won't laugh at him. I like it if a guy can admit to a girl that he cried at something.

I finally got "If I Am" by Nine Days downloaded. The whole thing. I was trying all last night and it didn't work. But it did this morning! Yay!

Um... pictures! I'm going to put a picture of myself right here. It's a really really bad picture, but what the hey.

(insert picture here)

Yeah, that's me. Haha. I don't remember what I'm laughing at, but it must be funny because I look like a complete idiot in that picture. And please don't tell me otherwise. I look like a nut. Heck, I look nuttier in a whole lot more pictures. You want to see them, you say? Sure. Where, you ask? Here: www.geocities.com/so_heres_your_valentine. The name of the site pays homage to my constant obsession with blink-182-. Hehehe.

That's all for now. I leave you with a quote from Tom Green:

Question: How can you break and awkward silence on a first date?

"Throw a large piece of food at someone in the restaurant. Chances are it won't be silent anymore. You'll probably get into a fight or even get kicked out. If the cops don't throw you in jail, you'll definitely have a lot to talk about all night."

IT'S ALL OVER! 5/19/2001

WORD OF THE DAY: Colonel Blimp

It's over.

They're gone forever.

And he has a mullet.

Yeahyeah. I'm talking about the season finale of Digimon 02. It's over. I'm sad. T.K. has a mullet. Tai has small hair.

But there's one good thing: their kids are soooo adorable!

It may sound weird, 'cause it's just a cartoon you might say, but I'm really going to miss them! I'm sure Takato, Ruki and Lee, the kids from Tamers (season three) are going to be great, but these guys... they're classic, especially the original seven. And I finally realized just yesterday... I like Davis. Davis is great. Davis is awesome. We all thought he was a jerk at the beginning but I really like him now.

So here's what's up: T.K.'s a novelist, writing a series of books about their adventures in Digiworld, and he has a little boy that looks just like him. ^_^ Tai and Agumon are diplomats between the real world and Digiworld, and Tai's son inherited his father's hairstyle. Matt and Gabumon are astronauts who made it to Mars. Sora and Biyomon are fashion designers. Matt and Sora have two kids, also cute. Joe's a doctor. His boy looks like him too. Mimi's also got a son, she has a cooking show. Izzy's a Digital World researcher, and his daughter is turning out to be a lot like him. Kari's a teacher, and she's also got a little boy. Yolei and Ken have three kids, a girl, a boy and a baby. Ken's a detective and Yolei's a stay-at-home mom. Cody's a lawyer, and his daughter asked him if she could sue if she got tagged "It." :-P And Davis got his noodle cart, and now there are "Noodles Noodles Come Get Your Noodles" carts worldwide. I wonder if Davis's son will inherit the business...

So that's it. And we never see them again. Oikawa got his partner Digimon, but he was unable to make it to DigiWorld. He didn't have a lot of time left, but he used his life to rebuild the Digital World. So yeah. It's over.

I'm gonna miss them.

Kumquat Smoothies all,

Jenna D.

P.S. I suck at golf.

Obsessions aren't THAT bad, are they? 5/18/2001

WORD OF THE DAY: zillionaire. yes, it is a real word.

Another thing has been added to my list of obsessions. Aeris's Theme, as mentioned in my previous entry is the newest thing on the list. It's only 11:01 AM and I've all ready listened to it about fifteen times today. I decided to give Napster a break and I'm listening to some treble charger now.

Yeahyeah. It's 11:01 AM and I'm not in school. Well I'm sick, okay?!?! The pressure in my ears is off, my nose is stuffed and my voice sounds really really funny. I hate it. I should probably be in bed sleeping, but I got hungry and so I got up, which lead to another thing and now I'm here. Going back to sleep isn't something I do well. Fortunately for me, it's something Gary's an expert on, so he won't show up for a while. (Translation: I might be awake, but my mind isn't fully functioning, therefore all creations from my mind are just gonna sit around until I can start thinking about them.)

Anyone watch the season finale of ER last night? Man, I hate that guy! And it was amazing... Romano was actually doing something!!!!!!!!!! At the end it was really weird. Mark just standing there with the defibrillators charging them and shocking the air. The look on his face was just scary. And isn't Ella cute?!?!? Awwwwww...!!!! But we hardly saw Dave! He just shoved Carla's husband out of the way and then he was gone! Sheesh. They need to do some more stuff with Dave.

Today's the season finale of Digimon... the last time we'll ever see them. Well, we'll see them tomorrow on Fox Kids. I get YTV, so I see the last episode today. Yesterday's was awesome. If you didn't see it, don't read the next paragraph 'cause it'll spoil it.

The kids were still stuck in the strange world and trying to defeat MaloMyotismon. Naturally, they sucked. MaloMyotismon cast some weird spell over them and their wants, hopes, fears and dreams were materialized. T.K.'s family was all together, Yolei had desserts and was an only child, Cody was able to take his dad to the Digital World, Kari saw a world where Digimon and humans lived in peace, and Ken was able to forget his past as the Emperor. But these were all illusions, and their Digimon partners had to lure them out of them. Davis, however, was unaffected by this spell. MaloMyotismon was confused, but Davis explained that because he has his family, friends and Digimon, there's nothing more he wants and there's nothing he fears. By some strange characteristic of the world they were in, the Digimon were able to Digivolve into all their different forms simaultaneously. They blasted MaloMyotismon, all together, and somehow made this hole to the Digital World. That was a very bad thing. Now MalonMyotismon is infecting both our world and the Digital World with darkness...

Naturally they ended there. Cliffhanger. Damn. And today, me and all the other people with YTV get to see the season finale today. Yay. We get to see T.K. with a mullet, Tai with small hair and Matt and Sora married. What fun. Not. If I had it my way, T.K.'s hair would be a whole lot better, Tai's hair would be at least a substanstial size and he'd be with Sora, not Matt. I personally think Kari turned out the best. She's a kindergarten teacher and her look is very smart.

Well, that's about all for now. I shall now proceed to read more fanfiction, write more fanfiction, and grumble about Napster being too slow as I download Flavor of the Week.

Kumquat Smoothies All,

Jenna D.

We're Special. Did you know that? We're SPECIAL!! 5/17/2001

WORD OF THE DAY: orotund

Seriously. We are special dammit, SPECIAL! Hehe.

Last night was the Artsarama concert at my school, in which I played my lovely clarinet. I took my camera and got a whole bunch of pictures... and Jared was there! Éadaoin introduced us, he's really nice.

Today we had yet another authentic assessment thing at school. Today's was for gym. We got to go bowling!!!! Yay!!! I took the camera, as planned, took some pictures. I haven't posted them on my web site yet though, or the ones from the concert, or the ones from Tuesday. I'm being lazy. :-P I lost both games. One game, I had 33 for four frames straight. Heather won both times, with 103 and 112. Sheesh, I can remember her scores, but I can't remember mine. That's just weird. The guy's class went too, meaning Keane went! Hehe! I didn't really see him bowl though, but I mooched a lollipop off him afterwards. Hehe.

Because of the concert last night, I missed my first tennis lesson. But Laura and Amanda went, and you'll never guess who else was there.

Colin.

Colin happens to be one of the most annoying guys in school. He's friends with Keane, so that's how I know him. Colin's annoying in a funny way, you know? Laura said they were making him be the ball boy and stuff, and apparently he has really good aim. Next week I'll be there. (Note to self: potential photo trip?)

I got my short story back... I got 93.7%!! YES!!! It's called Silent Warrior, and not to be egotistical or anything, you should read it.

Gary just had some stupid remark about my ego. He's liable to get flicked off my shoulder soon.

Casey just read it, he said it was great. He also recommended this really good song. It's Aeris's Theme from Final Fantasy 7, I suggest you listen to it. It's pretty sad, all intsrumental. I was almost crying. I can really see a school band or something playing it. I could pick out what could be a clarinet and stuff. It's awesome.

Well, that's about all for now,

Kumquat Smoothies all,

Jenna D.

Dysentery Gary Returns... 5/15/2001

WORD OF THE DAY: ponderous - oppressively dull

Dysentery Gary has returned. As a direct result of Laura taping Enema of the State for me, I have been listening too it WAAAAAYYYY too much, the song Dysentery Gary in particular. I love that song. In turn, I found myself writing a songfic called Dysentery Tai, where Tai goes nutso after Matt and Sora start dating. It's very stupid and the like, but in the notes, Dysentery Gary made his first appearance as my mascot. He will NOT, however, appear in this diary, unless requested, because Gary's just an idiot. Laura says she'll draw Dysentery Gary for me. I'm going to send her a picture and she'll draw Gary sitting on my shoulder. That's how he is. He sits on my shoulder looking at everything I write... my mascot, so to speak.

Gary says he's offended that I won't let him in here. He's not real. I can do what I want with him.

Mom wants me to do my stupid health project. I don't want to. It's stupid. I'm re-doing it so I don't fail gym.

Andrea, my sister, wants on the computer. She has more homework than me.

I want to stay on and talk with Casey and read fanfiction. We're doing health in gym again, this time it's sex ed, and I learned a lot of that in science last semester. But the project's on physical fitness.

Andrea's a whiner.

She went and bought a CD the other day. And of course, it just HAD to be by a band that I hate. Of all the CDs in the world, she had to pick Popstars by Eden's Crush. Puh-leeze! These people are horrible. I want OLP's Spiritual Machines. Laura bought it the other day and she and Heather were talking about it last night when we were on MSN and I had no clue what they were talking about. I don't own any OLP... this sucks.

I bought myself a new notebook yesterday. My old one was full. Then, of course I notice this on the way out of the store, blink-182- is on the cover of CosmoGIRL!, my favourite magazine. Dammit! I have five bucks, I just need the time to go out and buy it. And I have to buy it. I love blink-182-. LOVE THEM! They're all so great!

We played this game at lunch yesterday. Try it with your friends. I played this one with my sister, the instructions are in italics.

List the names of everyone playing.

1. Andrea
2. Jenna
3. Laura
4. Theresa
5. Lauren

Everyone pick a guy.

2. Q.T. McKnight
4. Ashton Kutcher
5. Tom DeLonge
3. Nick Carter
1. Freddie Prinze Jr.

Pick the name of a place. Be specific.

3. National Television
5. The mall
1. the supermarket
2. bookstore
4. the roof

Pick a part on a guy's body.

5. arms
3. nose
4. toenail
1. ears
2. knee

Pick a part on a girl's body.

1. fingers
4. eyes
3. heel
5. foot
2. hair

Pick a way of speaking.

2. muttered
4. sang
3. whispered
5. mumbled
1. groaned

Pick a phrase.

4. "What the heck?"
5. "It's like, the hey?"
3. "Wasssup?"
2. "Woah, that's a lot of potatoes."
1. "I want you in my pants."

After each set, you put in the numbers at random. Each number corresponds to each other, i.e. 1's with 1's, and you read the sentence like this (I'll do mine):

Jenna and Q.T. McKnight in the bookstore. His knee, her hair. She muttered, "Woah, that's a lot of potatoes."

Get it? It's really funny. Heather, the ultimate OLP fan, always says "Raine Maida" but she always ends up with someone else. Once she got Big Bird.

So that's about it for today.

Kumquat Smoothies all,

Jenna D.

I wore cologne to get the feeling right 5/11/2001

WORD OF THE DAY: shit, what was it again? something about.... nevermind.

Well, TOD's back online, which is good, because I've been wanting to write here for a while and HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO....

Did anyone see ER last night? Reese is so cute! ^_^ And the previews for the season finale? *shudder* I can't wait!

And there's only THREE more episodes of Digimon left until 02 is over... then we'll never see any of the original characters EVER AGAIN. And it ends so BADLY! Tai has small hair, T.K. has a mullet, and Sora and Matt are married! COME ON! TAIORA FOREVER!

That reminds me of something funny. Every time I say the word "mullet," Laura starts laughing her head off. We were working with this guy on something in Geography and he's a fan too, and we were talking about the ending. I said something about T.K.'s mullet and Laura started laughing so hard and the guy was just like "Ye-e-e-es..." And if I say "S Club" Laura just about dies because she hates them so much.

Éadaoin gave me her friend Jared's e-mail address. The thing about Éadaoin and Jared is that we bug Éadaoin all the time about him. Jared goes to another school but she's got one of those rice necklaces with his name on it that he gave her... it's in a heart. She's got a crush on him, it's so obvious. Apparently he told her to give me his e-mail address, so I wrote to him the other night. I got a reply today and he asked if Éadaoin talked about him a lot. Well... I had to admit that she does. Almost every day in fact. But I also had to admit that we kinda ask about Jared too, so... yeah..

I helped out at the public school's funfair last night. I was at the fishpond from five to six and got myself an hour of community service. (3 hours down... 37 to go! YES!) Then I went around and played games, visited my enslaved friends, and took pictures. Greg was there but I didn't see him until the end, before the winners of the loonie raffle were announced. We sat together until his family had to leave. I won a pair of movie passes. Mom won a set of crystal candleholders. I had fun. When I finally won, they were like, "191" and I jumped up and yelled "YES!" and everyone was staring at me. It was great.

Today we had a substitute teacher for both tech AND gym. In tech we did something about a circle and then we watched the Matrix. In gym... we started health... sex ed. Our sub was a guy.

What could be worse for a guy teacher than to teach an all girls class sex ed? He didn't really. Apparently with the first class he couldn't get through the notes without laughing, so it was written on the board for us and we did the work ourselves.

I should be working on my web site... how about you visit it? it's at http://www.geocities.com/so_heres_your_valentine

Dysentry Gary Should Play Tennis 5/5/2001

WORD OF THE DAY: belfry. hehe, i like that word

Tennis, dammit, tennis! Sweet! I got my racket today, and I'm taking lessons this summer. We went to Canadian Tire and got two 'cause they were like $10. Then we went down to the courts and of all people, that Greg kid was there. He was playing tennis with his little brother and his brother's friend, so we joined them. Me and Greg against the "little shrimps." They're like, 10, so they're not THAT little, but come on, Greg and I are 15 and 14 respectfully, so of course they're shrimpy to us. :-P

My first serve and I booted the ball straight over the fence. Smooth Jenna. Real smooth. Greg did the same thing like, six times in a row. We need to work on that hitting the ball gently thing...

I kicked my brother's arse later, after Greg had left. I have a feeling I'm gonna stick with tennis for a while.

As for the Dysentry Gary thing, I've been listening to Enema of the State a LOT lately and on Friday, I had this one line in my head over and over and over... "Fuck this place/I lost the war/I hate you all/Your mom's a whore." And it just STUCK there, you know? Over and over and over and over and over and over... yeah, you get it. It was so weird. And I've had 21 Days (off Buddha) stuck in my head a lot too. Weiiiirrrrrddd....

The Leafs won. 3-2. Kicked some Jersey ass for once. GO LEAFS GO!!!!!

Dude, I have FRAMES. why don't you believe us? 5/3/2001

WORD OF THE DAY: oh shit. I think I forgot it again... it's either lax or laz or hax or haz or something like that.

In geography today, I was in the back room using the Internet to do research. It was near the end of class, and we were bored with research and all that crap, so Heather said something about her web site. Derek didn't believe her! Sheesh. Guys. Anyway, she goes to her site and he still doesn't believe her. Dumbass. Only the guestbook proved it. Then we showed him my site. Heather's all like, "She has FRAMES" and Derek said... nothing.

Do you KNOW how long it took me to learn to make frames? Almost an HOUR. An entire tedious HOUR. And I'm very proud of my accomplishment.

Casey Cod's 21 Days of Sweaty Basketball Songs 5/2/2001

WORD OF THE DAY: (I actually remembered it!) longeur

See that title? Maybe it disgusts you. Maybe it intrigues you. Either way you're reading this, so whatever. Each part means something different... I'll explain.

CASEY:

Yesterday was Casey's birthday and OMG! I almost FORGOT! Laura reminded me and then she, Heather and I all changed our nicknames on MSN to HAPPY BIRTHDAY CASEY!

COD:

Our new geography project is on a certain province. My group chose Newfoundland. Our friends chose PEI and Nova Scotia. We're constantly warring between COD (us) LOBSTER (N.S.) and POTATOES (PEI). COD RULES!! YEAH!!!

21 DAYS:

I "discovered" this song today. Well, not really. It's blink-182- and it's on Buddha, which is... kinda old... and I just realised today, "Hey... I really like this song!"

SWEATY BASKETBALL:

Gym class in a nutshell. We worked up such a sweat today everyone stuck their heads under the freezing water in the showers... it felt soooo good....

SONGS:

I went and wrote another one, after I said I wouldn't. And Yeah, I posted it on Fanfiction.net. Here it is.

You're Wrong

You have it all

Nothing good ever seems to stray from you

There's no way you could fall

But some things are too good to be true

You say you are lost

That despite it all you're failing

You life is just like frost

To be scraped away

Off the windshield of the world

Well if you think I'm gonna let you throw it away

If you think I'm gonna let you have your way

You're wrong

Just because you're sad

Doesn't mean it has to be bad

You can turn it around

Listen for sound

Of the

Voices who are calling out

Hear them scream and hear them shout

They all want you to be here

To stay a while and join in the cheer

Let's just take a break...

Running from the choices

The ones you make each day

Can you hear my voice

Telling you to stay

I'm wondering about you

'Cause I know you're not well

It's really very hard to love you

When you're locked in your own cell

Trapped and afraid

Well if you think I'm gonna watch as you slip away

If you think I'm just standing here with nothing to say

You're wrong

Just because you're sad

Doesn't mean it has to be bad

You can turn it around

Listen for sound

Of the

Voices who are calling out

Hear them scream and hear them shout

They all want you to be here

To stay a while and join in the cheer

Let's just take a break...

Perfect world

Perfect life

Perfect kids

Perfect wife

Perfect house

Perfect dog

Perfect self? No

There's no dog

There's no house

There's no wife

There's no kids

Life is crap

The world's a trap

For yourself

Just because you're sad

Doesn't mean it has to be bad

You can turn it around

Listen for sound

Of the

Voices who are calling out

Hear them scream and hear them shout

They all want you to be here

To stay a while and join in the cheer

Let's just take a break...

Let's just take a break

We'll stare at the stars

And sit down by the lake

Listen to the cars

On the highway

And it'll be fine

It'll be fine

If you think I'm gonna help you every day

If you think I'm gonna listen to all you say

You're right

~*~**~*~

That's it. And that's all.
