What Does That Mean? 1/31/2002
WORD OF THE DAY: Rosetta stone
Well, surely you've heard of that huge snowstorm that stretches from the American midwest to Southern Ontario. Yup. I'm in it. It was supposed to be a mental health day for Mom and I, but it was snowing too hard and the roads weren't plowed, and Mom's wipers have been really stupid lately, so we stayed home. Did nothing. Always good.
Hm... well, nothing much to say, other than that there's snow, and lots of it. I heard reports of trees and power lines down in the States... does this not remind anyone of the ice storm a couple years ago? It's certainly less severe, but still.
Anyway, just thought I'd make an appearance here. Later.

On the way home I got pushed into the snow... It was NOT a fun experience :(
BLAH TO THE SNOW STORM! [Static Inertia]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RYN: The snow is NOT soft and its just not fun when you still have to drag your ass over to school... :( [Static Inertia]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No, actually i didn't hear about it. I don't watch t.v. much... [MidnitePhantazy]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i feel left out
being from the caribbean sucks when i'm on this site
i think i'll go watch some american news channels and see what this snow is all about
love- [jawbreaker]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh you lucky girl! I want snow. Where I live we rarely get snow... blah. Snow is good. No school is even better.
Have a lovely day,
[maggie*mae]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Awww... I see. [dolphersone]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah, yes I've heard of the snowstorm.
No prizes guessing who told me though. :P
Poor you.
Hope it clears up soon.
Just ol' me,
[lazy_cowgirl]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I like snow - but not too much of it! I'm called Harriet too!(not that that's interesting at all!)
Hattie
:OP [*trinity_3*]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Snow? I want snow. Why no snow in Britain? Although it has been flooding in an interesting way, but that happens at least once a month so the novelty wears off. It's sunny now, anyway.
I just wasted a whole note on the weather, god help me and my children.

That Boy Needs Therapy 1/30/2002
WORD OF THE DAY: impromptu
I finished my exams today, with History. I took much longer than the others. We have to stay in until 10:30, and I didn't leave until ten to eleven. My other two I was done twenty minutes early and got to sit around writing. Damn. It wasn't hard, just a lot of writing.
If I note you, you'll probably be noticing crazy stuff written in italics at the end. If they don't make sense, that's good. They're just little lines that I pull out of my ass. Or, well, quotes from movies and stuff. *shrug* So yeah. Don't mind me.
Anyway, Andrea's home sick and she and I are watching Pearl Harbor again. :-) Josh Hartnett. Oh yeah.

Ahhhhrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh 1/28/2002
WORD OF THE DAY: aplomb
God I am so bored. I didn't have an exam today, which means I've been home by myself all day. Bored out of my skull.
I talked to Lor a bit when she came back from her exam (she had Art), she's going to come with me to Toronto on Friday. Talked to Casey a little, but then he went out. Talked to Rachel, even, but she had to go. *sigh* And that was hours ago.
Mom, Andrea and Daniel are home now. I have to leave in an hour to go to the doctor's... I have to get my tetanus and diptheria vaccinations updated. *sigh*
Later.

Oy, I hate vaccinations. *shakes head*
I stay home alone every single weekday.
I kinda like it, me, the homebody-ish me.
RYN: LOL, Colin is incidentally my favourite Whose Line player.
I like Canadians. *nods*
I might actually become one.

All Of The Time But I'm Never Sure Why I Need You 1/27/2002
WORD OF THE DAY: zenith
When it comes to being mysterious, that's what you do best. You like to leave others puzzled and speak in riddles. You're not out there for the fame and fortune, you're just being yourself, doing what you do best. You're strong and courageous, and you're always the leader of the pack. You're skillful; people respect you, and you respect people.
Morpheus, bitch! Hoopya!
Insert survey taken from Xiaoyu here.
~~~5 things you don’t know about me:~~~
1. I'm always running plotlines in my head.
2. I put my foot in my mouth more often than one might think.
3. Don't tell Katie, but I think Relena's okay.
4. My parents get mean, just like everyone else's. Believe it, Heather!
5. I secretly want to act. Well, it's not a secret anymore, but...
~~~Top 5 songs you love right now:~~~
1. "I'm Just A Kid" by Simple Plan
2. "Hands Clean" by Alanis Morissette
3. "The One" by the Foo Fighters
4. "Sincerely, Me" by Better Than Ezra
5. "Unintended" by Serial Joe
~~~Top 5 movies you watch all the time:~~~
1. Disney's "The Three Musketeers" -- "Porthos the pirate! AHHHHH!!!!"
2. Endless Waltz
3. Pearl Harbor. *sniff*
4. Austin Powers. Yeah baby, yeah!
5. Clerks: Uncensored. Yeah, it's a bunch of TV episodes on tape, but who cares.
~~~Top 5 things you say the most:~~~
1. Beyond comprehension. Like, "He was screwed beyond comprehension."
2. Nani? Confuses the heck out of people, although my friends have gotten used to it.
3. Hoopya. Word of the year, 2002, all the way!
4. "So I says to the guy..." This is a two-parter to be used when there's a lull in the conversation. One of you says, "So I says to the guy," and the other says, "Apparently, you didn't."
5. Fuck shit. Enough said.
~~~Top 5 things you do not understand about your own sex:~~~
1. Cheerleading. Really.
2. Gossip.
3. Boy bands.
4. Cliques.
5. Attachment to a guy who hurt you. Really. If a guy dumps you, sure, you can be upset, but really. Trying to get him back is useless. Move on.
~~~For each letter, write the first thing that comes to mind:~~~
A: Andrea, my sister.
B: Booyah!
C: Crevice dweller

I Am A Shepherd 1/26/2002
No, seriously. I took this Kingdomality test and in the medieval kingdom, I would be a shepherd.
"Your distinct personality, The Shepherd is to tend to your human flock. You understand the needs of those for whom you are responsible. Shepherds are vigilant and reliable. You realize your obligation and commitment to the well being of those entrusted to your care. Shepherds are very dependable. You engender a feeling of comfort and stability to those within your charge. On the positive side, Shepherds can be empathic, caring, understanding, practical and realistic. On the negative side, you may be manipulative, close-minded and sentimentally rigid. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms."
And some Star Wars Twin test... that one's complicated, so I won't go into detail.
If I was an Autobot, I'd be:

Take the Transformers personality test at android5.com!
The way I eat my Oreo...
Twisted apart, the inside, and then the cookie.
You have a highly curious nature. You take pleasure in breaking things apart to find out how they work, though not always able to put them back together, so you destroy all the evidence of your activities. You deny your involvement when things go wrong. You are a compulsive liar and exhibit deviant, if not criminal, behavior.

I had my Civics exam this morning. It was easy. I was done 20 minutes before we were allowed out of class so I worked on this crazyass story.

Now You've Gone And Done It! 1/25/2002
Really, I'm bored, so this is what scared Anita so much in my history class...
See how the books look like they're stacked on my head? Anita decided it made my brain look bigger, which freaks her out. Her daily reaction to this phenomenon became a tradition to go down with the likes of the Sideways Chair, Doltese and Shibbyville Island.
Anyway, Daniel got home from camp all right and he's sacked. Mom says he was the first one off the bus and first thing he did was dash into the school, almost completely overlooking Mom even when he came back. He barely said "Hi," rushing around the bus to help unload. My brother's funny.
Nothing much else.
Kumquat Smoothies all,

Cool. You could audition for one of those talent shows. As a book-balancer-impressionist. Kickass. ^_^

I Finally Have A Watch! 1/23/2002
WORD OF THE DAY: modicum
I fucking hate being sick. Dammit. In History today, my nose got so clogged up that five minutes after I blew it, it got clogged again and I could barely breathe, again. *sigh*
I got out of most of English today. Katie was doing her presentation and I had to help her get ready. She did her novel study on Memoirs of a Geisha and she wore a kimono. I bothered her about having to take little steps, which she hates to do. She made the obi with velcro on the side, because she'd never be able to remember how to tie a real one properly. She let me try it on, and since the obi barely fits her, of course it didn't fit me. I sucked it in and held my breath, and then when I started breathing again it came undone, LOL. Then Andrew did his at the end of class, and since he did the second Lord of the Rings book and I didn't want to hear it 'cause I'm only on the first one and don't want to be spoiled, I hung out in the hall with Lor, Leigh and Katie, who also did not want to be spoiled. We talked about stuff, and then Colin, who broke his foot, came by ('cause people on crutches are allowed out five minutes early so they don't get trampled) and we talked until the bell rang.
Went to the doctor today. She prescribed some antibiotics and nose spray for me and renewed my Eltroxin, so I should be good... ahh, me and my drugs... *shakes head* I weighed myself and I'm 140 on the dot. Checked my BMI, it's normal. My body's rearranging though, 'cause I've noticed my bones a whole lot more lately. *shrug*
Mom actually took us out shopping today. It's amazing. Andrea got new jeans, I got the new headphones I'd been needing and a watch. My headphones fold up, which is cool, and my watch is black with a red and white face. The hands glow in the dark. I don't feel lost anymore, which is good. Ever since the strap on my old watch broke my left wrist has been feeling bare and lonely. But I'm happy now, which is good.
I made cookies for class again. Those people, they get my cookies, and I get nothing. Well, I get increased faith in my skill as a chef, but that's beside the point. I'm still a little pissed that I'm not feeling well enough to conjure up a batch of my usual recipe, and I had to use, of all things, a mix. But I suppose it's for the best, I mean, I'm sick, and if I made the cookies from scratch, there'd be more of a chance of the rest of them getting sick. *sigh* Heck, the class only gets them if we win the mock election. If we don't, we'll get them and I'll bring the rest to my Music class. Tomorrow's our last day of the semester before exams and we're having a pizza party. Nooch.
Speaking of nooch, I finagled Lor into letting me bring Clerks the cartoon into Music to watch while we eat pizza. Which is a sweet deal.
Aaaaanyway, that's about it here. Later.

If You Like Pina Coladas 1/22/2002
WORD OF THE DAY: paronomasia
Which Brady Bunch kid are you most like?
Okay. I'm Peter Brady. *shrug* Heather was Marcia, which makes me laugh.
I am still sick. It's annoying. I did my English presentation today... I think it went okay. I haven't finished my Civics thing yet. I have to write my speech, and print off the brochure thingy that I spent all lunch hour today working on... I didn't get a chance to eat my lunch. Luckily, I kinda lose my appetite when I'm sick so it didn't bother me that much. I had one of my wraps at the break between 3rd and 4th and my pudding when I got home. Had Michelina's lasagne for dinner.
Andrea got her grade 9 option sheet today. Yup, picking her courses for high school. They get family studies as one of their open courses. Not fair. We only had the choice of art of or music, and then computers and shop for our half-credit opens. They've got the same thing, only throw family studies in as a half-credit. Had to put them in order of preference. Andrea chose computers and family studies as her first 2. She's no good with tools. She asked me what I'd pick, and Mom answered for me - Computers, tech, and family. She was right. There's another one of those freaky Mom-connection things. She knows me too well.
Of course, that means Andrea had the course calendar too. I won't be looking at my courses for next year until February probably, after exams, but I flipped through the thing and already have some choices. Of course I'm going to be taking French and Music. I'll be taking those for the rest of high school, just because of personal preference. But I found that the grade 11 history courses include World History up to 16th Century, which I'm rather interested in. As well, under humanities, they have Introdiction to Anthropology, Psychology and Sociology. From the description, I think I might take it. There's half my classes, right there. Then we have to take English and Math, and I gotta take some science just 'cause I love it... I might end up wanting more classes than I have time for. There's only eight classes a year. If anything I won't have a spare to my name. Grade 11 is when they split up Physics, Biology and Chemistry... I love Biology and Chemistry, Physics I could do without. But I've been looking back at medicine as a career choice, maybe in emergency medicine or a family doctor. That would mean I would need all the sciences, and a whole bunch of math too... dammit. I think Mom said one of the guys she works with took some courses over the summer because of a similar dilemma. *sigh* I apologize for the rambling. I'll probably yak at Mom about it later.
Daniel's going to camp with the rest of the grade sixes at his school tomorrow. I'm surprised he wanted to go. Daniel doesn't really like going on trips and stuff without Mom, even though he's eleven now. His friend's dad is his cabin parent-leader-type-dude, which makes it better. I helped him pack, 'cause I'm the expert on packing for camp. I've been going to camp at least twice a year, if not more, every year since I was seven. (Thank you Girl Guides.) I'm the expert packer. Helpful hint for packing with limited space: roll your clothes. Saves a ton-o-space.
Man, brings back memories... last summer was the best. I think I wore the same clothes almost all week. I lived out of a backpack for like, three days straight. We all stunk until our showers on Wednesday. Might not sound like a lot of fun to a lot of people, especially with the portaging canoes and running into trees (that was not me, hella funny though) and sleeping with a stump protruding up underneath the floor of your tent right next to your head, or sinking up to mid-calf in mud, having to purify your water before you drink it, but outtripping is most definitely my favourite part of camp. I want to take a canoe trip with Dad this summer, like a birthday thing. Just me, Dad and maybe William. Yes, the dog. My dog is canoe trained. It's kinda cute. Dad owns a canoe. I found it really funny when he told me because at the time he was still living in the basement apartment, so it didn't really make sense. But he keeps it at his buddy's cottage at Preston Lake, so it's all good.
Ahhh... I've been rambling.
Mom and Andrea just got back from the grade 9 orientation and I mentioned the course thing to Mom... she said that yeah, I could probably go back in the summer for some courses but it would be best to talk to the guidance counsellor. So I'm going to set up an appointment for after exams.
We have that stupid literacy test next month. It's on the 14th and 15th, and then we have a dance planned for the afternoon of the 15th. Heather's running that, I'm helping her. Our next Reach tournament is on the 13th, but luckily it's at Clarke so we don't have to travel.
I have a hair wrap now. I was bored yesterday and I used the kit I got for Christmas. Those people at Klutz are great. It's really long, 'cause my hair is long, and it's in blue and gold. Those are my school colours. Not a coincidence. I dunno why I wanted Clarke colours, but what the hey. Never hurts to show a little school spirit.
Dammit, that's enough. I'm outta here.
Kumquat Smoothies all,

Can You Take My Picture, 'Cause I Won't Remember 1/20/2002
WORD OF THE DAY: blithesome
Well, I finally managed to get a picture of myself up here. It's not that good, but oh well.
That's me, in the English room. It's kind of an old pic, from the beginning of the year. My hair is longer now... hm... let's see if I can find a better picture...
Gratuitous picture of my cat, Zippy. Is he not so inexplicably cute? Don't let it fool you, he's evil, evil I tell you!
I feel special now that I can put up pictures. :-)
There's never anything on Sunday afternoons, so I'm watching Endless Waltz. I still feel like crap, although my headache has gone down some. I have a bad cough though, and I'm hoping to lose my voice so that I don't have to do my oral report on The Hobbit tomorrow. It's supposed to involve the class, but I have absolutely no ideas... *sigh* I suppose I could still use being sick as an excuse, even if I don't lose my voice... I'll get Mom to write me a note.
Damn, Heero just fell into the ocean with Wing Zero... again... nothing surprises me anymore.
Meh. I'm outta here.

Oooh, Endless Waltz. That had lots of Wufei in. They tended to leave him out in the series, (cause of the Heero-Duo and Quatre-Trowa interactions) so I was happy. There should have been six pilots.
You look nothing how I imagined you. Not one bit. Nope. This is not a bad thing.

Oooh, This Could Get Messy 1/19/2002
WORD OF THE DAY: mnemonic. Damn, it's no fun getting words you already know.
you're a bored, innocent little blue-haired girl. take the quiz here.
This is weird. Because I am usually bored, I am... somewhat innocent, and I want blue hair. I don't have it, but I want it. *sigh*
I feel so shitty it's not even funny. The side of my chest, just around my diaphragm probably, hurts every time I breathe in. It's not so bad now as it was this morning, but still. My ears hurt, which isn't helped by the fact that my good headphones are busted and I have to use the stupid ones you stick in your ears. My eyes hurt, and my head, so I probably shouldn't be on the computer... *sigh again*
Exams start in a week. *sigh yet again* We got updated marks in History, I went up by 1%, meaning I have a 90. Sweet deal.
I'm outta here. Gotta take a shower.
Kumquat Smoothies all,
~*Jenna D.*~
P.S. The title's from the new Alanis Morissette song, "Hands Clean." Good stuff.

Right now though, I'm not even allowed to dye it brown.
And a 90 for History? Damn, you're good.
Mnemonically impaired,

Alanis? I tend to put her on a musical par with Bjork. Good stuff, but not my type of music. Get well soon, dear.
As innocent as chocolate syrup,

My eyes hurt, and my head, so I probably shouldn't be on the computer... *sigh again*
Exams start in a week. *sigh yet again* We got updated marks in History, I went up by 1%, meaning I have a 90. Sweet deal.
I'm outta here. Gotta take a shower.
Kumquat Smoothies all,
~*Jenna D.*~
P.S. The title's from the new Alanis Morissette song, "Hands Clean." Good stuff.

Ooh, "Hands Clean".
I saw the vid for that one.
Oi, blue hair, I'd like that too.
Right now though, I'm not even allowed to dye it brown.
And a 90 for History? Damn, you're good.
Mnemonically impaired,

Alanis? I tend to put her on a musical par with Bjork. Good stuff, but not my type of music. Get well soon, dear.

Damn Their Secret Weapon... *sigh* 1/14/2002
WORD OF THE DAY: cacophony
Today was the fabled first tournament of Reach. The day went like this (my school is CHS):
CHS vs. CSS
400-30
CHS vs. BHS
140-420
CHS vs. CDHS
200-250
CHS vs. CSS
390-?, probably 30
So, as you can see, we kicked Courtice's (CSS) butt. No offense to anyone from CSS, like you'd be reading this, but your Intermediate Reach team sucks ass. They hardly even attempted to answer any questions. Honestly. They sucked.
But Bowmanville (BHS)... Fuckers. There was this one kid who would buzz in at like, the last syllable of each question, even if he didn't have the answer. It was fucking annoying. Damn him.
Campbellford (CDHS)... we were close. We were very close. They were the only team made up of mostly guys - out of five of them, only one girl - and fuck, was the one guy hot! He had this really dark hair and gorgeous blue eyes. Sweartogod. I wasn't playing that round, but I watched him, he answered a good amount of questions right (which makes up for the baka sitting next to him, who had this stupid smile on his face the whole time), and he seemed to be a little... scared... of us... LOL. Whenever I'm out of a game, I go mental when there's an easy question that someone misses. Heather too. But...
... of course, when all is said and done, we couldn't remember his name.
Not for the life of any of us could we remember this guy's name. Anita thinks it's Andy, she says she'd put her life on it, but of course, that's her.
*sigh* Next tournament is at Clarke. We'll have home field advantage.
We went to Wendy's for lunch. I had chili. Yum.
After returning to school about halfway through lunch, we sat around for a while, as usual, I took some pics, we went to class for about an hour before it was time for the buy-in. Basketball game, teachers vs. students. Students won, 73-67. Or something like that. It was a good game. These two guys, Nick and Sean, did this thing where Sean would crouch on the floor, and Nick would run up with the ball, step on his back and slam it into the net. Sweet deal. They did that twice, got it in the first time, second time, they didn't. Ryan, this guy Mom works with, can slam dunk. He attempted, like, five, but only got two. Still very impressive.
Yesterday, after I took a shower, I started doodling in the fog on my bathroom mirror. One of my doodles was Duo, from Gundam Wing. I'm not kidding. I must've gotten high off that cucumber shower gel that Heather gave me for Christmas, 'cause I drew a picture of Duo in the fog on my bathroom mirror. You can see the pictures here.
Hm... not much else to say really. Later.
Kumquat Smoothies all,
~*Jenna D.*~
notes
Next time we see that guy we should glomp him :) Yeah, you're scary and I swear I'm not drugging you with the cucumber stuff... *note to self: kill the one called... Jenna* Anyways, I've got things to do people to stalk... Remember, Heroin Bob is always with you. ~Shibs~ [Original Shibster]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i'm seriously lost
but i do understand that your school won competitions of some sort
and that some kid who didn't know answers was chiming in at the last syllable
am i correct?
love- [jawbreaker]

It's moments like this which once again make me wish we didn't have an anti-fogging bathroom mirror.
Not bad, for fog pictures. Normally I just do smiley faces.
Congrats on the good results, too.

I get goose pimples whenever I see a slam dunk in the anime Slam Dunk.
Hontou ni suteki, ne!
Anyway good job on the Reach thingy! Congrats.

Feeling Sick 1/12/2002
It's 9:32 PM, do you know where your stomach is?
Mine is in the midst of competing for a gold medal in gymnastics. But seriously. I've been feeling kinda sick ever since the incident mentioned in the previous entry occurred. I remembered shortly after that that I hadn't taken my Eltroxin, which usually accounts for any feelings of dizziness or weakness in the knees, so I went and took the meds, and that was hours ago. Since then, I've eaten lunch and dinner, and I still feel sick.
I did the dishes around four thirty, listening to Nickelback on my discman (which I keep stuck in the back of my jeans so I don't get water on it), and thinking. The whole time I felt sick.
I don't fucking get it. I thought I was okay with them, honestly, I did. Finding out Dad had a girlfriend, I was fine. Learning they were moving in together, still fine. Engagement? I get sick.
Maybe it's the finality of it all. I mean, in any relationship there's a gray area. Now that they're engaged, everything has suddenly been thrust into black-and-white and is set in stone. I really don't know.
And then there's the whole stepmother thing.
I wonder what Julie thinks of that. I mean, one moment and then BAM! she's got three kids. Well, sort of. But still.
Anyway, I know she won't be the 'evil stepmother' type. She's not like that, and if she was, I'd raise so much hell that Nom would hear it in Singapore. Julie makes stuff. Like food. It's good. Dad brought out the Christmas present from her he forgot at Christmas, and it was these kickass chocolate mice made out of truffles, with black licorice tails and almond ears. They're reeeally yummy. But yeah.
*sigh* I really don't know. I'd better not be sick on Monday or I'll suck at the tournament.
KS,
~Jenna D.

I had no idea it had anything to do with your dad's girlfriend
I had no idea that was even going on
I laughed because at the end you simply stated
'Maybe I drank my root beer too fast'
:) Hope this doesn't cause any conflict.
I'm really sorry

Um, yeah.

Step-mothers are tricky.
Mine had a problem just looking at me.
Apparently reminded her of my dad and mom together. *shrugs*
Engagements aren't finalized.
Marriage isn't either.

WORD OF THE DAY: haruspex
Well, Katie's team lost their game last night. The refs were hooribble. Scuba Steve! Damn You!
I finished reading The Hobbit yesterday. I decided to do it for my independent novel study. That shouldn't take long. I haven't started in on The Fellowship of the Ring yet, but I shall. I suppose I could see the movie now, before it leaves the theatres. Andrew keeps bothering me about seeing it. He's reading The Two Towers and the other day shouts out, "Gandalf's alive!" LOL, Andrew's a funny kid.
Speaking of movies, I wanna see Orange County. The dude wants to be a writer. That was the hook for me, right there. And A Walk To Remember. I have a feeling it won't be as good as the book, but whatever. I loved it. I cried reading it. You should read it. Seriously.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Reach tournament Monday!
Kumquat Smoothies all,
Jenna D.
notes
Hey, Orange County was alright. Glad i saw it. And no fair! My computer dictionary is cheap and don't have the word of the day and i am too lazy to get out my 100lb dictionary... [MidnitePhantazy]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wanna see that Walk To Remember movie so badly. But knowing me I'm gonna cry like a baby. Meh... [Static Inertia]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*grumbles*
So now I know Gandalf lives!
Warn me of upcoming spoilers in your entries would ya?
Anyhow, do watch LOTR before it leaves the big screen.
Then you can buy the video and watch it again and again and again....

She's Baaaaaaaaack 1/11/2002
WORD OF THE DAY: wherewithal
Damn TOD to hell. "403 Forbidden." Yeah right. *sigh*
Sooo... what's happened to Jenna since the fifth? Quite frankly, I can't remember much. Went back to school on the seventh, didn't feel like anything had changed.
Monday
Had a Reach Meeting at lunch. Got permission forms for travel. Played a game. Didn't keep score. Nothing much.
Tuesday
Student Council meeting at lunch. Didn't talk about much. There was something about giving money to the Reach teams. Seeing as five sixths of the junior team is also on council, the proposal went through. :-P
Wednesday
Extra Reach meeting. Won.
Thursday
Reach meeting. Won by a point and a half. *phew*
ER was on. I cried. Poor Douglas. *sniff*
Friday
Today was Keane's birthday. I saw him after Civics at the phone and gave him a hug. He just had this "Oh God..." look on his face. We said happy birthday to him at every opportunity, just to bother him.
And amazingly... I had NO meetings today! I got to eat lunch with Lor!
Tonight I'm going to Katie's basketball game. Should be good.
Our first Reach tournament is on Monday morning. I spent all last night trying to figure out a rotation, 'cause there's six of us and only four people play at a time. Wasted all that time and paper when the pattern was completely obvious and the math was right too. By the end of the year, we'll have all played the same number of games. *sigh*
Well, gotta go.
Kumquat Smoothies all,
Jenna D.
notes
I'm glad TOD is back too :)
What is "Extra Reach?" Kinda like an academic team? Congrats on the wins.
:)
[Nail Bunny]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I almost died of boredom when TOD went. I would seriously just sit in front of my computer and blink for about ten minutes. I think this is a problem.
Sigh. Everyone talks about school, and I don't go. I should feel lonely, but instead, I feel ridiculously smug. ^___^

congrats on winning whatever you won
yea tod being down was a bitch

And they say 666 is the bad number.
Feh, I think 403 fits the bill just fine!
The lack of TOD helped me reform from my addiction a bit though.
Good luck in Reach, whatever the heck it is!

You keep food in the fridge?

Hoopya!!!!!!!!!!! 1/1/2002
WORD OF THE DAY: neoteric
Well, I went to the party @ Caitlin's last night. Katie and Ashley were there, as well as some of Caitlin's friends from her school, Jessica and Patricia. We had such a good time, acting like nutbars and everything.
I made my cookies, everyone loved those, as usual. We had pizza, sat around, talked, watched the countdown at Nathan Phillips Square on MuchMusic, and popped balloons full of confetti at midnight. We ended up covering practically the entire floor with confetti, and it was all in our hair and clothes... We took tons of pictures, and even managed to make one of those human pyramids. Nooch.
Afterwards we walked down to this guy Ian's house, where he was having a party that Caitlin's and Katie's brothers were at. We bothered them for a bit, then went to a bunch of friends' houses just to say hi and happy 2002.
The word of the year is hoopya. It was created simply because of the fact that Katie and Caitlin had to make a "Happy 2002" banner out of two "Happy 2001" banners, so they took the leftover letters and created hoopya. Hoopya. Nooch.
Well, I gotta go for dinner now. I'll write more later.

*snicker* My New Year's does not even bear thinking about... at least I had fun, right?
RYN: You have to see LOTR. Have to. It's essential. Anyone who doesn't see it has something wrong with them. It's so different from the book, but... waiii, Legolas is cool... ^_^
