TROGDOR the BURNINATOR!!!!!!!! 1/29/2003

Thanks for the support on the driver's test thing. I love you guys. In better news, my copy of the extended version of Fellowship of the Ring on DVD has come in, so when Mom gets home we'll go get it.

Day off school today. Gotta love it. Tomorrow too. And Friday's a P.A. Day. Hooraz.

I had a really weird dream recently, which I can't quite recall. I remember that Pat was dead. Me, and Heather, and Caitlin and some other people along with his family were there, although they didn't figure as much as Heather and Caitlin. I think Sarah was there too. I really can't remember much other than that he was dead, and we were all crying, and staring at him in the grave. He was in the coffin, which was open and in the ground. Which was odd. And it was freaky. I mean, why Pat? Of all people. Anyone good with dream interpretation?

I finished reading The Fellowship of the Ring yesterday and started on The Two Towers. I still love those books. Annoyed that Tol Branduir and Amon Hen aren't on the maps. I like to track the journeys throughout the story and they're NOT THERE.

I want to go to New Zealand.

Lor and I are probably going to go see Final Destination 2 on Friday. We had a great time when we watched the first one. I remember she was sleeping over at my house and we went to rent it, and it's like, 18A or something and they asked if we had permission and we're like, "Yes..." And then we got it, and walked down to the arena to ask Mom if we were allowed to watch it, even though it was too late, and then we watched it twice because it was so freaky. Lor owns it now. So she's either going to come here and we'll watch the first one, then take the bus out, or I'll go to her house and her Mom or someone will drive us. After we watch the first one, of course. :-P

Watching Moulin Rouge! Because I love it.

PA Day? [barrington]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wow. How did you manage so many days off school in a row?
Pat? Dead? Isn't he the cute one?

RYN: How can anyone not like Jay and Silent Bob? That would be sacrilege. I was tempted to go out and buy all the Jay and Silent Bob videos this weekend. But I refrained. So perhaps next weekend instead... [Static Inertia]

Fuck the Rules. 1/27/2003

Fuck the word of the day too. I'm pissed off and with good reason. Here.

That would be a section off my driver's test thingy. See that box under F that's checked? Yeah. F means fail. I'm fucking pissed. God fucking dammit.

Next week... that G1 will be mine... *glares*

Heh. I'm sorry. Sadly, you'll have your licence before I will. Damnit. [Static Inertia]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aargh. The red glare of failure.
I'm really dreading the day I learn to drive. My heart has already filled with pity for the unfortunate sod who'll have to instruct me.
Orla. [lafosta]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The funny thing, is that when I got my driver's license, I got 84/100. 80 is the lowest to pass...so I almost wasn't able to drive as well. I'm sure you will do fine next week. :D [Ms. Spunky]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

well see, that's what you get watching LOTR instead of studying for your driving stuff. anyways, sorry to hear it went so badly. i haven't even attempted to get in the bizz with all my driving stuff. sigh. 18 and without a license or a clue how to drive... [MidnitePhantazy]

WORD OF THE DAY: holy writ

As you can see, I redid my diary. The background on my dd, the collage of papers? Mine. All mine. 'tis my handwriting. Concept of the new layout of my web site, which is still NOT DONE, but will be. Soon.

Worked with Heather last night. Had a blast. We laughed a lot, acted like fools, probably scared a lot of customers. We also did some doodling, came up with this:

After I failed at throwing my cup into the garbage, Heather told me I was fired so I got up and I started to leave, and she ran after me, and everyone at Tim Horton's was staring at us funny. Steve came by and tried to steal our bread and the tuna/seafood scoops and spreaders. I made him give them back, but not before he threw two of the spreaders on the floor. Dumbass. I stole his hat.

Daniel had a hockey game last night and it was a real nail biter. It ended up being tied 1-1, which is good because the last time they played this team they lost 4-0. Andrea kept calling me J-dawg.

Umm... today, went to church, laughed with Pat, the usual.

This weekend is smack in the middle of exams. I like it, gives you time to rest your brain for a while. Friday's Anthropology exam was strange. Anyway... Tomorrow's French. Gyah. Ms. Goody. Oh! Mrs. Robertson had her baby last Sunday. Her name is Brookelin. :-D

Tuesday's exam is English. Looks like English will be my highest mark this semester, my progress report that Mrs. Mostoway gave me a while ago is at 93.38%. Rock. On.

Ummm.... gotta go work on that web site of mine...

yeah, i really like the new layout. [barrington]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wow. Your diary! COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! When I clicked on here I thought TOD had made a mistake! I like it :)
[Static Inertia]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's very different...but I like it. I want to change my diary but have no time and no html skills to speak of. I just got done combatting a particularly annoying virus I acquired through my student email server. Damned viruses. Gar.
Ooh, I smell food. I am going to go investigate. :D [Ms. Spunky]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looks brilliant. Hope you're well, love. xoxo [the phoenix feather]

And Nothing Is Wrong With Us 1/24/2003

WORD OF THE DAY: I forget it. Blah.

Soooo... yeah. There aren't any more favourites to check up on, so I'm out of excuses to write. Dammit.

Exams have started. Hooray... I think. Yesterday was my co-op portfolio interview, went ridiculously well and was equally easy. Afterwards Heather and I went to the Oshawa Centre, and spent entirely too much money without getting the one thing we went for: tickets to see The Used next month at the Kool Haus. They were sold out. Dammit. Since sometimes that just means "sold out for this location," Heather's going to ask her Dad if she can use his credit card to buy them online. If there are any left there. *sigh* But it's The Used!!!! And it's a Monday night and I have permission to go! It's nuts! Come on!

Anyway, I got my new coat :-D $139 at Le Chateau... gyah. But Mom's going to pay me back for it, 'cause it's supposed to be a Christmas present. Also got another Dashboard Confessional CD (The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most), new photo albums, three new shirts, and some pictures developed. Heather's all excited because her life is complete, having found the first Punk-O-Rama CD. She bought a disposable camera and took some pictures, which are at her site, geocities.com/shibslikespie. Go. Now. Hilarity.

Scanned and uploaded my pics that I got done, which are: Party @ Pat's house and School, January 22. Not linked on the site yet, because it's still under construction. But you can see them, and get a sample of the new layout! Hooray for you!

Anthropology exam today. Weird. Finished ten minutes early. Mwah.

Daniel took out a French horn for the weekend and Casey is incredibly proud. His first instrument was the French horn. Hooray.

Anyway, gotta run.

WORD OF THE DAY: callithump

Title: Sindarin. From a poem called "The Ents". LOTR soundtrack, obviously. Translation:

Earth shakes,
Stone breaks,
The forest is at your door
The dark sleep is broken
The woods have awoken
The trees have gone to war
Roots rend, wood bends
The Ents have answered the call
Through the branches now the wind sings
Feel the power of living things
The trees have gone to war

Yeah. Lovely. Melikes Elvish.

Yesterday, Katie and Pat and I saw The Two Towers again. Yay! Then we went and rented movies, and Katie and I went to my house and Pat had to go home. So Katie and I watched Beautiful and The Sweetest Thing, which were good. (The other movie I watched this evening - The Mists of Avalon - upon seeing it again, it's good, but the book is ten times better, really.)

And then we phoned people, and jumped around at midnight, scared the crap out of the cat, phoned more people, ran down to Caitlin's to crash her party but they'd just left, so we ran around trying to find them, and we did, and then we went back to her house, hung out, and Katie and I went back to my house around one twenty and then Mom came back from the Stupid Smith's house and we drove Katie home.

This morning, I worked 11:30-4 and it was fucking busy. Those stupid Breakaway tours. Like, a zillion of them. There were virtually NO breaks in customers. Apparently, we ran out of bread around 6:30. Gah. Mom drove me home, and then went back until around seven. They needed her. (And Mom kinda wanted the extra money - time and a half, ya know.)

So yeah. I still have a fucking shitload of stupid homework to do, I can't go to the Dungeon on Friday to see Tortion because I have to work and forgot about it (but I'll suffer with Heather), and fuck. Yeah.

Talked to Heather and Casey today, they've been having fun while she's in Ottawa. And you can probably guess what they mean by that. ;-P We had a good laugh.

Anyhoo, no time to yak about 2002. It was an up-down year. Started up, and then went swiftly down. Bah. Here's a picture.

That's Anita, Heather, Katie and I in our closet in Quebec City. Good times in the closet. :-D

RYN: You know what's worse than writing an introduction at midnight? Coming up with a really good intro while in the shower at 7 am. Cuz then you have to run it through your head a billion times and run out of the shower and write it all down while still dripping.
