WORD OF THE DAY: epitaph
Title is from Heather, Anita and I goofing off in Biology when we were supposed to be doing review. Hehehehe.
Bah to Mondays. But I got 8/10 on a Math quiz. Sequences and Series. So easy. Will SO bring my mark up.
Dude, I have a Bio test tomorrow... Hmm...
Wonderland with band on Wednesday! Wahoo!
Oooh, and with Pat's little Mr. Sharpe Appreciation Concert project, the choir gets to sing Evenstar from The Two Towers soundtrack... we get to sing in ELVISH!!!!!!! Pat was driving me INSANE all day because he said I'd go nuts when I found out what he'd gotten for us, and he said he wouldn't tell me until choir that night... forcing me to go even though I had to work at five. Bwah. But when he told me I practically knocked him over with a hug, going nuts and telling him that I love him. I had to leave early for work, but I picked up a copy of the music before I left so I could look it over. It's not that hard, except the second page has the top line (which would be the words) cut off.
My brother is one lucky little fucker. Tomorrow he and the rest of the grade seven band get to go hang out with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra all bloody day. This is something that's normally done with high school kids, but someone pulled some strings for the sevens. I think it's great that they get to go, but dammit, I want to! I told Mr. Sharpe and he thought that it was cool, and said he could look into it for us next year. That would kick such large amounts of ass, you don't even know.
Sooooooo I gotta go. Lata!

WORD OF THE DAY: con amore
Driver's ed today. We went on the 401. AHHH scary.
We had a quiz almost every single day in Math this week and it sucked ass. Except I did pretty well. On the first one I even got perfect. Yeah I know! Me, perfect, on something in Math! Nuts! Good, but nuts! Bwah!
Oooh, the fun news now. Mom's decided that she's taking Dad to court to make him pay his child support. She doesn't see how a guy who makes three times as much as her and has half as many people to support is in financial difficulty, unless there's something he's not telling her, like he's trying to support Grammy and Papa Don too. In which case he should tell her that. Honestly, though, we have hardly enough money as it is. Every cent of Mom's paycheque goes to keeping us housed and fed. She says that when they put the pizza place at work, she's going to ask to be a weekday supervisor over there. The pizza place'll have similar hours to Mr. Sub, so that means no early mornings. If she were to supervise at Wendy's that would mean 6:30 AM and she wouldn't be able to see us off to school. *sigh* I hate not having money.
I also hate not having RAM. We got all the stuff for high-speed Internet the other day, and it was activated on Thursday, but we don't have enough RAM on the computer to install the software. Phoned Leo, he should have some by next week I think.
Um... Yeah. Stuff. Bah. Going.

This Pencilboard Is Really Really Hot 5/20/2003
WORD OF THE DAY: volition. dammit, I know this one!
Bloody hell, haven't written in too long. Artsarama kicked ass, I have pictures and they will be up soon; probably not tonight though. Pat played his solo and we gave him a standing ovation because he's Pat and he rocks.
Anime North 2003 rocked so many socks. I met the voice actors, who were all really nice and really approchable and I got their autographs. I also bought something at the auction... this giant Anime Family Tree, which goes by the theory that every anime character descends from David Bowie. It's on hinges. Fold it up, stand it lengthwise and it's up to my armpits, which is nucking futs. I got them all to sign that too, although we couldn't find Brad Swaile until almost before we left. We were sitting in the Atrium restaurant, and I saw him walk by and ran after him. He came and signed it and gave me a hug even though he was already late for the closing ceremonies. Brad was by far the sweetest. We saw some great shows, like InuYasha and Gravitation, and we watched a Fushigi Yugi movie that confused the hell out of everyone but me. I haven't seen any Fushigi Yugi, but I've read a bit, so I have a background. Andrew was very confused when they found the reincarnated Nuriko... who was a girl... and Nuriko's a guy... I had to explain the cross-dressing thing.
Made some new friends... met this guy Jarett at the ATM by William's and then the next day, we saw him there again... and we met Kelly from Windsor while in line for the masquerade and hung out with her for the rest of the night. She cosplayed as Duo, very cool. I also met up with Nef and Neekababe from my mailing list, which was great.
Aaaanyhoo. Stuff. Funfun!
Oh yeah, elections today. I lost.

WORD OF THE DAY: peregrination.
Artsarama tomorrow. Mr. Sharpe is strangely calm. This is bothersome. In three years with the Clarke music program, and five concerts (this being my sixth with Clarke, eighth overall), I have never seen Mr. Sharpe so calm on the day before one.
Awwww, and it's Pat's last one... *sniff*
Grammy and Papa Don are coming though. Yay!!!

WORD OF THE DAY: gallivanting
Posters up today. Nobody understands them. Nobody knows who I am. But they will. Oh yes, they will.
Adam said he'd be my other security guard, since only Erin is willing to go onstage. Darcy had the idea of himself running onstage acting like a maniac yelling that "SHE'S A BOLOGNA BANDIT! YOU'RE MAKING A BIG MISTAKE!" but doesn't want to interrupt me too much.
Speech Idea #1: It Was All Liz Dewell's Idea
Speech Idea #2: Working For Elimination Or An Actual Purpose To TAP Class
Speech Idea #3: Better Temperature Regulation In The School
Speech Idea #4: Less Greasy Food In The Cafeteria
Speech Idea #5: Umm...
And all that jazz...
Artsarama day after tomorrow! Will have pictures, of course. Wheeee!!!!

I Dive Again 5/8/2003
WORD OF THE DAY: insouciance
Only had two classes today, mwah ha. Went to band practice with the music class first period, and holy fucking shit, was it ever intense. No one who went to the after school rehearsals (like me) had ever gotten to play with percussion, an actual trumpet section, and more than three saxophones before, so it was literally a heart-attack inducing experience to play such a powerful piece like The Star Of Dreams with the full group of forty-some people. Almost cried. Could barely breathe afterwards.
In Biology we finished the note on blood and then watched a cheesy video on the circulatory system. Someone got a synthesizer for Christmas, as Mr. Löster says. It was made in 1978, when he was 8 years old, hehe.
Strings; we had the winds come in to play Ode to Joy with us. Very nice. A little off in timing but we got together.
Went to the oral surgeon (skipping Chemistry, take that Mr. Matsusaki!), and I get my wisdom teeth out on June 12. How fun. Going to cost, like, $2 000, which of course we don't have... *sigh*

Speaking to the Atmosphere 5/5/2003
Went to the T-dot (hehe, T-dot) on the weekend to see Dad and Julie. Julie and I got almost my entire costume done! Wheeee! I just need to get the right zipper for the shirt (because I got the wrong one) and add all the doohickeys to the skirt and voila! I am Quistis Trepe. Oh yeah... hair dye. Dammit. We went and saw X2 (after we watched the first one, because Julie and I hadn't seen it) and it was pretty good, except we were in the front row and I couldn't concentrate. The end makes me want to throw things at people. Specifically the director. If you see it, you will understand.
Ooooh, and we made pizza, and it was really good.
Okay, so I didn't do too well on my Math test. Erin and I both got 55.5555556%. Eh-heh. At least she gets to go see The Ataris tonight with Lor.
We had our digestive system test in Biology today and somehow it didn't photocopy right so we were missing an entire page. I noticed first. Mr. Löster put the questions on the board for us. I think I did okay... although with my recent track record in tests and the magical appearance of something I don't recall learning may throw me off. And I couldn't remember the other purpose of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. Dammit.
I picked up the nomination form for the elections today and got Erin and Heather to sign it. I'm saving the last space for Liz, because the whole thing was her Idea anyway. Those darn Dewell kids... they're just too damn great. Seriously, though. You see their name on everything at least once. Their older sister didn't do much, but Ian, Liz and Pat's older brother, was PM at one point and also valedictorian, and all of them won awards... Pat was rookie of the year for the senior band when he joined, gets art & music awards... regular overachievers, that family, but they're so damn nice and great and everyone loves them. Everyone important, that is.
Strings was nothing special, for once.
Chemistry, we... learned stuff? I think. Test on Friday.
I see the oral surgeon on Thursday. Pah.
Katie's birthday party is FINALLY on Friday... and I have to work, and I can't trade it because I already traded one shift this week and so I'll have to just be late. Four hours late, but it's the thought that counts. I can finally get her present off my dresser (Meteora by Linkin Park and some socks). It's gathering dust in its home-made wrapping (paper bag drawn with pencil crayon and stickers).
Have I mentioned that Evanescence rocks socks? Because they do. The CD is good practice for choir because it just makes you want to belt it out (which we have a tendancy not to do sometimes) and Amy Lee has almost the same vocal range as me. It kicks ass.

Velma Kelly In An Act of Desperation 5/2/2003
I discovered this morning that Math class is almost the exact length of A Rush of Blood to the Head. I heart Coldplay.
We had a fire drill today during second period. It was annoying. Even so, I still managed to get all of the review for Monday's test done, which in itself is an accomplishment. I usually never look at the review. Oh yeah, we got updated marks, and I went up 1.9%. Meaning i have 79.9. Or just 80, whatever. Still up there. I dunno what Sarah has now, we were tied for the highest mark at midterm.
In Chem today we didn't do much. Ryan B. kept calling me a pirate and Heather a weenie. Heather's the Queen Weenie. I'll post a link to the picture she drew when I scan it. Ryan was trying to become a pirate but he couldn't cause a ruckus within five minutes so we rejected him.
We did playing tests in Strings and they were duets, I did mine with Steve and we were good. We decided yesterday that instead of switching parts for bonus marks (which you can do), we'd switch instruments. So I had to quickly re-learn the violin and Holly and I taught Steve his part on the cello, and we actually did pretty damn good. Then after we were done, Mr. Sharpe was really tired so he just let us run amok, and I practiced violin (I've still got it!) and Steve mucked around on the barimbas and Keane kept trying to tickle torture me and we all just goofed off. I told Keane I don't watch a lot of TV and then he hugged me and started telling me it would be okay... riiiiight. Then I started wondering what would posess Keane to voluntarily give a hug.
Work tonight. Met the new girl, Melanie. She wasn't feeling well, and it was slow, which sucked. Of course, ten minutes before I'm supposed to leave we get a bus AND a whole shitload of people, all who got stuck behind an accident apparently. I stuck around another half-hour until it died down. Our sink was backlogging and spitting water from the pipe undernearth every now and then, which I noticed when I pushed the worktable back after cleaning the wall behind it. Apparently this is normal, what with all the trouble we've been having with the wells. Bah.
Now online, clicking around. Must send Casey stupid/funny/pointless belated birthday e-card because it was his birthday yesterday.
By the way, if any of you miss me in anyway, I've started a blog. It's at jenna-d.blogspot.com if you want to go there, because I write there more often. It's a bit more... professional? mature? sophisticated? Less scream-inducing, perhaps? I dunno. I call it Brain Typhooning.

The Raven speaks up...
Velma Kelly's solo is one of the best parts of the whole movie. [Blue~Raven]

You just had to get me started with that entry title, didn't you? Lol allow me to properly introduce myself-I'm Jordie.I'm a die-hard Chicago fanatic and seeing anything affiliated with that movie makes me go berserk.Velma Kelly was NOT that show-stopping, Roxxy rules, but I admit Velma's part in the "Cellblock Tango" was her best performance of all.Sounds like you had a pretty good day. Go you! [So Addicted]

instead of switching parts you switched instruments. aren't you miss-know-everything... [MidnitePhantazy]
